Stop Thinking mower, Start thinking grazer.

Like sheep taking just the tips, a little at a time, your Bot grazes multiple days per week.

Sheep, not a Saturday mower

Everything you know about mowing comes from a machine that flies over the yard and is done in thirty minutes. A robot is the opposite. It is a slow, low-energy grazer that lives on your lawn and trims the tips over and over. It crawls. It does not fly. That means more time on the grass, and that is the whole idea. You are on permanent vacation from the lawn. Wave at the bot on your way out the door. Speed stops mattering when the bot goes out most days of the week and the lawn is perfect every day, for less than a mowing service.

frequent cutting is the only way Bermuda, Zoysia, and other warm season grasses ever look the way they were meant to.

Pick a height. Hold it. Give the robot the days, and it gives you the lawn.

The feedback loop

Those tiny clippings fall deep into the canopy and break down almost immediately. You are feeding the lawn every day. Density goes up, upright weeds wear out, and the grass grows faster and thicker. More growth means more grazing.

Why the machine cares

Taking a little off at a time is light work for the cutting motor. Chewing through grass that has grown tall is heavy work for the cutting motor and the wheel motors. Infrequent mowing is the fastest way to wear a robot out.

What you will see, and when

Immediate visual perfection is not the standard. The lawn changes over two to three weeks of steady grazing, faster at the start of a growing season. The Bermuda fanatics running a reel mower every four days already know this look. For everyone else, this is the first time your lawn gets to be what it was meant to be.

How this fits the rest

Grazing is the first of three things your robot needs from you. The Proper Use & Setup Clause covers cutting heights, terrain, lawn conditions, and where the base station goes, all before mapping. The Fine Tuning Clause covers your map and how to get the most out of your bot for years. Meet the conditions in all three and you hold the key to the AutoMow Extended Warranty Program.
